So Much Good Stuff

These are busy times for the Night Zero team, and we’ve got some very exciting events coming up in the next few months. Production on episode four continued with a shoot at the old Sandpoint Way Naval Base last weekend, including some exciting smoke and fire effects for a dramatic scene near the end of the episode. This brings the shooting schedule of the episode at around 80% complete, although curiously it’s the middle and end portions that are complete, and the opening scenes that remain to be shot. Episode four, titled “Insecurity”, will begin its online run in four weeks.

The biggest news in the Night Zero camp is of course the imminent arrival of Night Zero: Volume Two, and the amazing release party to accompany it. A post-apocalyptically-themed costume party with the Night Zero team? Have a drink, get your book signed by the cast and crew, and enjoy an evening with your fellow Night Zero fans. Attendees who pre-order their copy of the book get free admission (others are asked a $3 door cover), and can take their book home in an awesome swag-filled “combat pack”, exclusive to the release party. That’s Saturday, March 6th, at 9pm, and more details are available on facebook.

Due to a delay in the printing, copies of the book will only be guaranteed to people who pre-order so make sure you order yours today!

The release party is just the first of a series of Night Zero events coming up, followed the very next week by a visit to the Emerald City Comicon. Night Zero will return with its popular HDR photobooth and free makeup station, so if you’re in the Seattle area make sure to stop on by and say hello. Three weeks later, April 2-4, is the Norwescon SciFi/Fantasy convention, where I will be speaking on a number of panels about zombies, webcomics, and other related subjects. Two weeks from there Night Zero will be going on the road to exhibit at C2E2, Chicago’s first comic book convention, April 16-18 in the windy city. We look forward to meeting some of our Midwest fans, so mark your calendars for that weekend if you’re in the area. Fans in Portland, we’ll see you the week after at the Stumptown Comics Fest, April 24th-25th, although you can catch some of our artwork all month long at the Sequential Art Gallery on NW Broadway (near Flanders).
